The Mycotoxin Workshop is one of the oldest mycotoxin meetings worldwide. It originates from small meetings of mycotoxin researchers in Germany starting already in 1979 and has now been established as an annual European meeting since 1997, covering all aspects of mycotoxin research.

The registration for the 47th Mycotoxin Workshop will be possible as from December 8th, 2025.

In addition to the regular session topics such as

  • Occurrence and management of mycotoxins
  • Fungal biology, ecology and genetics
  • Toxicity, toxicology and biomonitoring
  • Analytics
  • Remediation and mitigation

a session on 'Data science, omics, and AI' is planned. Abstract submissions on these topics are highly appreciated. Furthermore, abstracts for posters with pitch presentations (1 min, 1 slide) can also be submitted for this Mycotoxin Workshop. This is intended to give young scientists in particular the opportunity to draw attention to their posters and research in the auditorium.

Please submit your abstracts for oral presentations, poster pitch presentations or poster contributions after registration also via the ConfTool webpage. The Scientific Committee will confirm the final acceptance of your contribution until 15th March 2026.

With regard to accommodation during the workshop, rooms have been reserved in selected hotels near the venue or centrally located in Berlin. More information can be found here

The Society for Mycotoxin Research announces that travel grants are available for participation in the workshop, for which only young scientists from developing countries are eligible to apply. More information on the selection process is available here.
